really appreciate it. Hope you had a great Xmas and have a very healthy,
happy and peaceful 2005.

Thank you. I appreciate your devotion and I am sadden to hear that some of the information you received have been negative. There is no reason for their actions. I hope they realize this is a free web site and they have no right to critize you. I haven't even notice the difference between you and Russ. Have a happy new year and ignore the knuckleheads. TonyB

I just wanted to drop you a line to let you know that I appreciate your work on the Life in Legacy website. It is one of my favorites and I look forward to the updates weekly. I cannot imagine people being rude, especially since it is a free site and you are doing this as a labor of love. I encourage you to ignore those with the negative spirit and focus on those who appreciate your time and effort. Take care! Dwyane Smith

Sorry to read you have been getting some negative comments. Some people don't have a clue do they! Must be awful to live with. Imagine being married to them! I can not understand, if they feel they can do it better, they don't offer some constructive criticism. Hell, they could even donate some time to the effort couldn't they? You'll always be a 'hero' in my book, along with your other helpers. I keep my eyes open, but work such stupid hours, it is old news by the time I get the chance to send something to you. Anyway, please take care, and pass my regards on the your team. Cheers, and keep up the good work. Shane D.

I have watched this page for a couple of years and I must say that you are doing a most awesome, fantabulous, excellent job. I must highly commend you for having a life and doing this daunting task day after day, week after week. I just wanted to give you a pat on the back and say THANK YOU so very much. The research you and your colleagues do are an asset to the world - you help us keep up with life by noting the passing of others - THANK YOU again. Well I better go and again, Thank You , Todd B. in Mid-Missouri

I wish to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your efforts in
continuing this excellent site. Keep up the good work. Chuck B

Hey --just a quick note say say thank you for continuing to keep the site up -- I can see where it can take on a life of its on almost. As for the one griping about how things are shaping up--let them go pound sand and try to find all this information on their own--they will find that it ain't gonna happen so from one who checks the site all the time --I sure do thank you so very much for the hard work that your putting in --If I may ever be of assistance please feel free to ask and if its possible at the time -you got it -- best of luck and my thanks again Don

First and foremost, shame to those who would send nasty, hurtful emails regarding this site. I cannot offer explanations for such behavior. Hopefully, emails such as this can offset such crude remarks. Simply put, I write to offer my thanks for the work you and the other volunteers do on this site. I think it’s refreshing to read about people who are not in the celebrity “mainstream”, i.e. industrialists, scientists, philanthropists and the like. It offers a refreshing perspective that there is more going on in the world other than what Hollywood and MTV churn out. Again, I am writing to offer my thanks for accepting this daunting task and wish you and all the others the best of holiday seasons and a joyous, prosperous, new year. Shirley.

I read your comment re: some of the rude emails you received. I always consider how unhappy those people are with their small lives and am grateful > that I am not one of them. How sad to be so critical of something that is free and a labor of love. I have recently discovered your wonderful and informative website. I filled many, many hours going through the entire site. Hopefully my email will help vanish some of the rude ones! Keep up the wonderful and hard work!! It is appreciated. Roni Cothron Pittsburgh, Pa.

Just a word to say thank you for the hard work you and your staff are doing at this site. I love coming here and looking at the various stories and photos, and being able to link into different sites. I am so sorry for those ungrateful few who seem to fubar things up for the rest of us, but again, I say thank you and believe me, your hard work is appreciated more than you can know. God bless and have a great new year…….Ed Ritchison, Dickson,Tennessee……..

Thank you for doing this thankless job. I stumbled across this site quite by accident last year, and reading it has been a real spiritual journey. I was initially fascinated with the pictures and bios of these people, not in a morbid sense, but with a powerful awareness of my own mortality. Pictures of those about my age (49) really hit home. The sense that overcame, and surprised me in reading these bios was the simple fact of how our lives are "just a vapor that appears and is gone." It has made me appreciate day-to-day things more and I feel a real reverence and respect towards these people as I read their stories. Thank you for doing it. Richie Poe

I know how running a volunteer anything can be. The complaints are many, and they almost exclusively come from those who do not participate. Don't let it get to you. If you do, you'll see your own interest slide and your work will demonstrate it.

I just wanted to let you know that you are doing a great job and keep up the good work. Joseph Kennedy

Be assured that there are hundreds and perhaps thousands of us who appreciate what you do. We're not very vocal. Perhaps we should be, lest we become overshadowed by the few jerks out there who live to complain. Generally, the complaints and insults are taken far more seriously than are the praises. It's a natural human reaction that those of us who maintain a certain amount of caring in our lives have to deal with. Use you delete key. That's why it's there. I became hooked on this site when I was told that that a good friend of mine was shown with a brief bio upon his death about a year ago. He was no great superstar, but his contributions to his particular art are recognized by those of us in it, and it was nice to see that the general public had been made aware of some of those contributions now. I was very happy to see that someone was willing to take control of the site, and you have proven to be an excellent successor to Russ. Sure, there are a few glitches along the way. Any time I try something new, there are problems, roadblocks and general screw-ups. In the end, it's worth it all. Have a great 2005! I'll be watching and enjoying your work, although I may not express it again for a while. Everyone, including me, usually forgets those two important words, "Thank you." I'm sure that I represent a boatload of people in saying it now. THANK YOU! -MJ
